2019 Senior Health Expo - in partnership with the Humboldt Newspapers

Senior citizens are invited to take control of their health and educate themselves on important topics, such as fall prevention, eye health, pain management and general health and wellness at a Senior Health Expo sponsored by Humboldt Newspapers and Humboldt County Memorial Hospital (HCMH). 

     The Expo will be Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 1-3 p.m. at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds Events Center. While the Expo is free of charge, there will be a great deal of valuable information. And the first 50 to arrive will receive a free gift. The popular trade show bingo will also be back! Attendees can get their cards stamped by vendors to be entered to win a door prize.

     Starting at 1 p.m. a variety of local vendors will have tables at the Health Expo and there will be free blood press checks offered. Flu shots will be available. Attendees are asked to bring their Medicare or insurance card along with their Social Security number. 

  Jean Bunz will also be giving free chair massages! Other vendors include; HCMH Services, UnityPoint Clinic Humboldt, UnityPoint Hospice AND

There will be several guest speakers beginning at 2 p.m. Jasa Tegland, PTA and Erin Smith, Rehab Tech will speak about Fall Prevention and have a short Tai Chi demonstration. Dr. Shanna Miller of Three Rivers Eye Care,  Jacob Miller, CRNA with HCMH Pain Management, Carole Zinnel, OTR/L, CT will speak about incontinence and Larry Hall, HCMH Pharmacist will speak on Medication Management.

       All seniors in the area are encouraged to attend this free and informational event, sponsored by Humboldt Newspapers and Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.
