Looking for certification classes?

  • Algona EMS sets up classes on an as needed basis. You can contact them at 515-295-7513 and you will be put on a list and be notified when the next class is scheduled. You can also go to the City of Algona website and enter your information to be contacted by the Algona EMS department when a class is available or scheduled.   • ICCC has classes scheduled about 6 times/year. You can go to their website and sign up for those classes that are already scheduled. (https://iowacentral.augusoft.net/ - Browse: All Classes - Health & Public Services: American Heart Association - HeartSaver Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid)
  • Blended Learning Course: You can purchase and take the online version which is approximately 4 hours and then meet with one of the instructors to test for the hands on part. Humboldt County Public Health would charge you for the card and however long it takes for the hands on portion ($40/hr - education charge).
