HCMH Mental Health & Wellness Center Now a Certified SPRAVATO® Treatment Center
Humboldt County Memorial Hospital (HCMH) is proud to announce that its Mental Health & Wellness Center is now a certified SPRAVATO® Treatment Center, expanding access to innovative care for adults suffering from treatment-resistant depression.
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) (nasal spray) is the first and only FDA-approved medication of its kind specifically designed for adults who have not responded to two or more traditional antidepressants. Administered under the supervision of an HCMH healthcare provider, SPRAVATO® offers new hope to those living with persistent depressive symptoms.
“Becoming a SPRAVATO® Treatment Center reflects our ongoing commitment to provide advanced, evidence-based treatments for those in our community struggling with mental health conditions,” said Shawn Pieczko (Mental Health & Wellness Center Director). “For individuals who have exhausted other treatment options, SPRAVATO® may be a turning point on their path to recovery.”
