Here's where to get your COVID-19 Vaccine in Humboldt, IA:

Humboldt County Public Health and Humboldt County Memorial Hospital will be hosting a public COVID-19 Moderna Booster Shot Clinic at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds.

Two clinics will be held:

  1. Wednesday November 3rd from 7:00am-1:00pm
  2. Wednesday November 10th from 2:00pm-6:00pm.

For individuals who received a Moderna COVID-19 vaccine (or Pfizer), the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at 6 months or more after their initial series.

For individuals who got the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine, booster shots are also recommended for those who are 18 and older and who were vaccinated two or more months ago.

Eligible individuals may choose which vaccine they receive as a booster dose. Some people may have a preference for the vaccine type that they originally received, and others may prefer to get a different booster. CDC’s recommendations now allow for this type of mix and match dosing for booster shots.

If you or you know someone who has considerable difficulty and/or requires significant support to leave the home for medical appointments please call Humboldt County Public Health at 515-332-2492. This line is staffed Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. This phone line will connect residents to in-home COVID-19 vaccinations administered by Humboldt County Public Health. If someone is not eligible for an in-home vaccination, our staff will be able to assist in scheduling and possible transportation options.
