NOTICE TO BIDDERS

HUMBOLDT COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL

MRI/OUTPATIENT ADDITIONS & RENOVATIONS

HUMBOLDT, IA

PROJECT NO. 2025-108

 Notice is hereby given that Humboldt County Memorial Hospital will receive bids for the MRI/Outpatient Additions & Renovations, Humboldt, IA. Sealed bids by separate bid package will be opened and publicly read in the Foundation Conference Room, Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, 1000 North 15th  Street, Humboldt, IA 50548, at 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, August 13, 2026.

The project consists of Bid Packages as follows:

  • Bid Package #01 –  General Construction
  • Bid Package #02 –  Sitework
  • Bid Package #03 –  Concrete
  • Bid Package #04 –  Mechanical, Plumbing, & Fire Suppression
  • Bid Package #05 –  Electrical and Low Voltage

See specification Section 01 1213 Summary of Multiple of Contracts regarding complete scope of work descriptions for each Bid Package.

On August 18, 2026, at 7:30 a.m., local time, at a meeting of the Board of Trustees in the upper conference room, Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, 1000 North 15th  Street, Humboldt, IA, the board will review the Bids and consider the Award of the Contract.

On-site mobilization and construction shall begin no sooner than September 1, 2026. The Owner requires substantial completion for the project by September 24, 2027.

All bids shall be made on the printed forms attached to and made a part of the proposed Contract Documents. The proposed Contract Documents including the Drawings, and the Project Manual, pursuant to which the work must be done, will be on file and may be viewed after July 20, 2026, at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, 1000 15th  Street N, Humboldt, IA 50548. Copies, thereof, are also on file at the Office of the Architect, Atura Architecture, 912 North 13th  Street, Clear Lake, IA. These Documents may be obtained after the aforementioned date by Prime Contractors upon request to the Architect and on the condition they be returned after the receipt of bids. There will be no Contract Document deposit.

All bids shall be on the basis of cash payment for the work.

Form of Contract to be used will be “ Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, Construction Manager as Adviser Edition” , issued by the American Institute of Architects, AIA Document A132-2019.

 

Each Bid shall be accompanied by Bid Security, in a separate sealed envelope, in the form of either (1) cash, cashiers check or certified check or certified share draft drawing on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to at least Five (5%) Percent of Project Bid Amount or (2) a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of Iowa with the amount or penal sum of not less than Five (5%) Percent of Project Bid Amount. The bid security should be made payable to the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Such bid security shall be forfeited to the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into a Contract within ten (10) days after the Award of Contract and post bond satisfactory to said owner insuring the faithful fulfillment of the Contract pursuant to the provisions of this Notice and the other Contract Documents.

No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.

The Board of Trustees of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt, IA, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive all informality and irregularity in connection therewith if the same is judged to be in their best interests, and to make a selection, including that of any Alternate Bids, that in their judgment is best suited for the purpose intended for the project.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATED COSTS FOR A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE HUMBOLDT COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.

Notice is hereby given that there are on file with the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital (the “Hospital”) proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated costs for improvement projects to include improvements to and the acquisition, construction, equipping and furnishing an MRI/Outpatient addition and renovation located on the Hospital’s campus at 1000-1010 North 15th Street, Humboldt, Iowa (the “Hospital Campus”), all located on the Hospital Campus (the “Project”).

 A hearing will be conducted thereon at a meeting of the Board of the Hospital to be held in the Foundation Conference Room at the Hospital located at 1000 North 15th  Street, Humboldt, Iowa, at 7:30 o’clock a.m., on the  18th  day of August, 2026 at which time and place any person may appear and file objections to the proposed plans, specifications and form of contract and estimated costs for said Project.
